A very expressive and delightful children's book by Pattie Manente. Brady expressed normal fears encountered when going into an unknown "scary" environment, even though there was so much excitement and anticipation. With the help of little friends, he discovered ways to overcome fear and feel confident in his newfound bravery.  Beautiful illustrations on every page.   A great book for children to learn helpful tips.   Can't wait to see Brady keep growing.

This book is beautiful and heartwarming! It's a beautiful illustration of overcoming fear. The story Pattie Manente has written about Brady's journey in his own backyard is impactful for children and equally as impactful for any adult's own inner child. The illustrations capture the vibrant landscape of Brady's backyard while perfectly depicting the nuance of his emotional journey through fear, into finding courage, and finally into confident carefree play.

I bought this book for my granddaughter and I know that she will love the story and the illustrations.  I loved reading the book about Brady. Not only is the book a feast for the eyes, but the story is full of wonderful examples of facing and overcoming fear. Wonderful lessons for young children. I highly recommend the story of Brady. Excellent children's book about learning to deal with their fears! Written in an easy-to-read fashion and with a character that is very relatable to all of us, but especially children. Young children will ask to have it read to them again and again!

I love this book! I like how puppy Brady overcame his fear by developing his skills and thanking his friends for helping him. This book is a great way to teach children how to deal with their stress or anxiety, so-called MONSTER! Also, it is a very enjoyable book as it captures various emotions that Brady went through. A well-written and excellent illustration. Highly recommend!!!

Beautifully written and illustrated story of pup Brady who learns coping skills to help overcome his nerves when confronting new experiences while romping in his back yard. Perfect for my young grandchildren. Kept their attention while they enjoyed the fun illustrations and learned techniques for coping with anxiety/fear. Highly recommend this sweet book.

I have taught Kindergarten for 22 years and I have read many books over my career. Brady and the Backyard Monster will now be used every year in my class. My students loved it and wanted to hear it again! That's a wonderful sign! All of us fell in love with the drawings and related to the adorable pup, Brady, and his fear of the unknown! This book can be used to teach and discuss courage, friendships, normal fears, and overcoming them. I will also use it during my Shadows Unit around Groundhog Day! A must-have and a must-read!
